Facebook Study Reveals Men and Married People are the Most Influential Group

Now a day, a large number of people use facebook. So, performing a study taking the help of facebook can reveal a lot of surprising information. Recent facebook study finds that men and married people are the most influential on social networking.


Researchers at New York University studied social networking influence by examining how facebook users convince others to use a movie-rating application that allows users to share information about movies.

In the process, when a participant used the app, his/her friends were sent a message asking them to join as well. Friends were selected randomly to avoid bias in the study. More than 41,000 messages were sent from about 8000 users to their friends.  Use of the app was increased 13% for the messages. Study finds reveals that, men were 49% more influential than women. Single people were 113% more influential than those people who were “In a relationship.” But, users with married status are the most influential group. People with relationship status “It’s complicated” were the least influential people in the study. It is also found that, influence increases with age.

As the study focuses on the spread of a particular product, it is not yet clear whether the results can be generalized. Suppose the app is about a cartoon show or, beauty tips. In this case, would the study results remain same. The researchers also doubt it. They said, it is not a conclusions about who is more or less influential in general. But, The advertisers may realize from this study how social networking can help them to spread of a product.

Is There Any Relation Between Heart Attack Risk and Traffic Noise?

Traffic is bad for our health in a lot of ways. It causes hearing loss, lung cancer and much more. And if your living in a place with a lot of traffic, it is hard to escape it. Previously, studies have found that, there is a relation between  heart health and traffic noise. But, recent study provide clear relationship between increased heart attack risk and noise levels.


Study's lead author was Dr. Mette Sorensen. The research was held in Denmark. More than 50,000 people aged 50 to 64 years old were studied in Copenhagen and Aarhus which are the largest cities of Denmark. They kept track of many aspects of their health, including everywhere they lived for a 10-year period. They estimated how much noise each person had been exposed according to the locations of their homes and an analysis of traffic patterns. In study it’s found that, almost 1,600 had their first heart attack during 10 years of the research.

They also said that, Previously, up to around 60 decibels there seemed to be no effect , but it increases at around 40 decibels up to the highest level, around 82 decibels. It doesn't seem to be a level where there are no effects.

How Does Traffic Noise Increase The Risk of Heart Attack?

Though, study in Denmark about Relation Between Heart Attack Risk and Traffic Noisedon’t provide exact reasons, they have several guesses. It may be due to increased stress, air pollution or, sleep disturbance for high traffic noise.

Professor of medicine at the Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine Dr. Robert Bonow said that, the noise probably increases stress and the levels of stress hormones like adrenaline and blood pressure is probably going up as well. Previous study also said that, associations between heart health and psychological stress of all kinds. Dr. Chip Lavie, medical director of cardiac rehabilitation and prevention at the Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans said that, earthquakes, sporting events etc have the common theme of increased psychological stress, which one could theorize is also in play during heavy traffic, with or without traffic noise. Another thing is, noise might prevent people from getting adequate sleep, which may lead to heart attacks.

The link between air pollution and heart health is also studied nicely. If we keep traffic and air pollution lower-than-normal levels, risk factors for heart disease will be decreased.

Air pollution must occur when there are high volumes of noisy traffic. According to cardiologists that also might be the cause of  the higher heart attack risk for the people in the study. Particles in polluted air damage to the heart and blood vessels, they mentioned as the reasons.

Smoking,  less physically active and poorer diets were the other risk factors of people’s having  heart attack in the study. In their statistical analysis, researchers tried to rule out those factors. But, even when using the best statistical methods,  it's often difficult for them to rule out absolutely every variable which might affect an association between two factors.

Dr. David Frid, a cardiologist at the Cleveland Clinic said, there are multiple factors that could lead to a heart attack. Because, Cardiovascular disease is a complex process. “As we identify these various factors, we have to then be cognizant of what we can do to ultimately reduce our risk of developing heart disease." Frid said.

Living in a place with a lot of noise could increase the risk. But they didn't make it clear whether reducing that noise reduces the risk. It is always not possible for people to stay away from the noisy environment they live in. These people need regular exercise and eat a healthy diet to compensate for that risk.

Important Medical Tips for Daily Life


Maintaining few rules is necessary to stay free from many diseases. It's found that, people who don't obey the rules have more problems than the people who follow the rules. So, in this article I’ll give you few tips for daily life to be healthy, happy and disease free.

First of all, you need sufficient and a sound sleep or, your whole day will be spoiled. 6 hour 30 min to 7 hour 30 min is the ideal sleeping time. Sleep at night. Don't sleep other times in day. Go to bed early and wake up early. Many people will say you to sleep at 10/11 pm. If u can, do it. It's of course good. But, I believe that, in this generation it's hard to do that. Many students can concentrate on their study at night more than other times. Even if they try to wake early (5/6 am), they can't concentrate or feel sleepy. So, my advice is- no need to wake so early for them. So, go to bed at 12/1 am and wake at 7/7.30 am could help you. But, if you've school/college, then adjust the time of sleeping. Keep in mind that, you've to sleep at least 6 and half hour.

After waking up in mooring, go for a walk or, do exercise. If you do not exercise, many diseases may occur. Then, take your breakfast. There are many people who don't take breakfast in time. Or, they take very less food. But, this could lead them to very serious condition. Digestive Problems are common for them. They also feel weak and health condition becomes worse. So, take breakfast at right time (within 1 hour from your waking up) and take sufficient food. Still there are few boys and girls who can't eat at morning. Exercising before breakfast is recommended for them.

Most of time people don't take enough foods in breakfast. So, it's necessary to eat something between breakfast and lunch. People when are at their workplace (especially students) take unhygienic food and unpure water sometimes. This should be stopped. Unpure water, tea, or, liquid cause lot of diseases which can be life threatening. I saw, lot of them know it. But, they realized when it's too late. Under-cooked and unhygienic foods also cause several Medical Problems. Roadside hotel’s foods are like that. It causes diarrhea, loose motion etc. Under-cooked beef and pork are responsible for worm.

Take your lunch timely. Take proper diet. Try to take all type of nutrients. It's not a good idea to eat cholesterol, carbohydrate and fat containing foods over the necessary limit. It's responsible for many Medical Problems.

You can take rest after lunch. But, don't sleep, if you don't have any other Medical or Dental Problems. Go to exercise in afternoon. Children and, young people can play outdoor games. Again, I want to say, exercise is very necessary to be healthy and disease-free.

In evening, must take some foods. You can take tea or coffee to refresh your mind. But, before taking tea or coffee, must eat something. Don't take them in empty stomach.
Take your dinner timely. Sufficient protein is necessary in dinner if you sleep late at night as protein is digested slowly.

Try to take bath everyday. Maintain a good Oral Hygiene Practice. Brush your teeth regularly. Follow the instruction of tooth brushing and keep your mouth clean and fresh. Don't forget to brush tooth after lunch and dinner.

What Should We Eat To Prevent Eye Problems

Proper nutrition and eye exercises can prevent us from many eye problems. It’s true that many people have to suffer for lack of nutrition and vitamin which are required for healthy eyes. But, at first we need to know which nutrients are required for eyes or what are the nutrition for eye.

Most important nutrients which prevent eye problems are:
Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Zinc, Bioflavonoids, Selenium, Beta-carotene and Lutein.
From these vitamin A and beta-carotene protect eyes from night blindness. They and omega-3 acids protect eyes against dry eyes. Bioflavonoids and lutein protect against cataracts and macular degeneration. Vitamin C may also reduce these problems. Zinc reduces the risk of night blindness and AMD. If vitamin E and selenium are combined with carotenoids and vitamin C, it may reduce the risk of advanced AMD. Vitamin D may also reduce the risk of macular degeneration.
Vitamin A is most important for eyes. So, you should always have a diet containing it.

But, what are the rich sources? We all should know that. Following is the answer:
  • Animal sources of Vitamin A are- liver, egg yolk, kidney, butter, cheese, milk, fish (cod or shark) liver oil and plant sources are- yellow and green fruits e.g.- carrots, spinach, pumpkins, mango, papaya etc.
  • Sources of Vitamin C are - all citrus food e.g. Amloki, lemon, guava etc and fresh vegetables such as green leafy vegetables, cabbage, tomatoes, cauliflower etc.
  • Salmon, sardines, mackerel, milk, orange juice contain Vitamin D.
  • Food sources of Vitamin E are- sunflower seeds, almonds, hazelnuts etc.
  • Zinc containing foods are- dark meat, beef, oysters, Dungeness crab etc.
  • Flaxseed oil, fish oil, cold-water fish such as mackerel, salmon and herring; ground flaxseeds, walnuts etc contain Omega-3 acids.
  • Seafood e. g. shrimp, crab, halibut, salmon; Brazil nuts, brown rice, enriched noodles are sources of Selenium.
  • Beta-carotene rich foods are- carrots, spinach, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, kale etc. Tea, citrus fruits, blueberries, cherries, bilberries, legumes, soy products etc have bioflavonoids.
  • Sources of Lutein are- collard greens, turnip greens, spinach, squash, kale.

    Know About Important Eye Exercises

    Have you ever think that how much work our eyes have to do? When we stay awake, it all-time keeps working by helping us to watch. Sometimes we have to face few problems. We can compare it with walking/ running. When we walk/ run continuously for long times, leg aching can be produced. We can say that, our legs get tired. Just like that our eyes get tired and sometimes headache and eye aching occur. So, here I described about few important eye exercises. This is also going to help those people who work on computer for long times or, those boys and girls who play video games.

    What should we do to increase the bloodflow surrounding our eyes?
    If bloodflow increases surrounding our eyes, more oxygen will be carried to our eyes. This gives us fresher and clearer vision. For this purpose we need to do eye massaging. During the exercise, eye will produce more tears and thus moisturize your eyes.

    Method-
    First sit or stand in relax position. Then, close your eyes. Now, take a deep breath. Massage the outside ridge of eye sockets gently using fingers or knuckles. But, be careful. Don't press on soft area of eye. It may injure your eye. Do it only outside the ridge on hard place. Do it for 2-5 minutes or more. At last, open your eyes after taking deep breath.

    What should we do to keep eyes fresh and ready for new information?

    For this, you need to blink your eyes. It helps to discharges previous information and ready for new information. During blinking, your eyes will go into darkness for few moments that'd help to keep them fresh. It also helps to reduce eye strain.

    Method-
    Sit in a relax position. Then, take a deep breath. Blink every 3 seconds for the next 2 minutes. After doing it 2 minutes, try not to blink for 30 seconds at a time for 2 minutes. Repeat this for 2 to 3 rounds. Finally close your eyes and relax for 2 minutes.

    What should we do when our eyes feel rigid and stiff?

    If it happens, you are highly recommended to do exercise called eye circle. It should loosen up your tight extra-ocular muscles surrounding the eye. It is also good to refresh tired eyes.


    Method-
    Sit in a relax position. Then, take a deep breath. Now, look up, and slowly rotate your eye balls in a circle. At first do it in clockwise direction for 7 circles. Then repeat once again for the counter clockwise direction. At last, relax for 2 minutes by closing your eyes.

    What should we do to improve our vision?
    To improve vision you need to perform a very simple and effective exercise called focusing. To do this, it’d strengthen the muscle in your eyes over time. It'll give your eyes a break from close up work and helps to focus things far away.


    Method-
    Sit or stand in relax position. Then, put your thumb about 10 inches in front of you. Now focus on it for 5 seconds. Then, change your focus on something else that is about 20 feet in front of you for 5 seconds. Now, switch your focus back to your thumb. Repeat this for 5 minutes or more.

    What should we do to rest our mind and eyes?
    You have to do a exercise called palming for this. It rest mind and eyes for a few minutes at a time. It is actually a relaxation technique. Thus, it will refresh your eyes.

    Method-
    Sit in relax position and take few deep breathes. I highly recommended not closing your eyes. Then, take of your hands. Now, cup them and place over both of your eyes. You have to do it in such way that no light shines through. After that, just relax and try to see only blackness and nothing else. Stay awake. Now, feel the relaxation for about 10 minutes.

    What should we do to increase concentration?
    To increase concentration you need to do a exercise called zooming. By doing it, your focusing skills will be strengthened. It also trains your eye muscles in general.

    Method-
    Sit in a comfortable position. Then, stretch out your arm to the front, and your thumb in the hitchhike position. Then, focus on your thumb as your arm is fully outstretched. After that, slowly bring your thumb closer to you, focusing all the time until it is about 10 centimeters in front of your face. Then, slowly move your thumb away again until your arm is fully outstretched. Repeat this for 5 rounds.
