Stay Fresh, Be Confident

views the best pictures

Let's face it. We all know when our breath doesn't smell fresh. And whether we're wearing the most expensive cologne or dressed in our favourite Sunday outfit, this becomes a total confidence buster. As soon as you taste that flavour-lacking saliva that is disgustingly dense and hard to swallow, you'll probably try to confirm if it really is "that time" by doing a few routine gestures.

The first one could be pushing out your lower jaw while you're simultaneously tucking in your upper lip and breathing softly in your nose, smelling it yourself first to see how bad it is (this is when you'll be hoping that no one else has smelt it already). Or maybe you haven't made out what that weird taste in your mouth is yet. But when you saw someone react to something you said and realised that they actually weren't reacting to what you were saying but something else - which is definitely not appealing - you probably tried the hand in front of your mouth gesture. You know? It's the one when you place your palm over your mouth and your nose, and breathe in it to see if it is indeed your breath that distorted your poor friend's visage.

And obviously if you get to the conclusion that your breath is bad, then you might try and find ways to freshen it up immediately. And if you don't have gum or none of your friends have sweets, you might start talking less or trying to avoid people who are making conversation with you. This is when you need help.

How to avoid unnecessary insecurities, stay fresh and keep your confidence up.

The obvious approach to this issue would be to give extra attention to your oral hygiene. Now this means more than just brushing your teeth and your tongue twice a day or trying to squeeze a moment to floss at least once a day. This is simply because your toothbrush, toothpaste and dental floss can't reach all the important parts of your mouth.

For example, it's hard to brush the back of your tongue thoroughly without feeling like you're going to throw up. Baring in mind that this is the part of your mouth that stacks layers upon layers of dirt when it isn't given enough attention, you need to get as many fresh breath products as you can find to have a healthy mouth.

Mouthwash vs. Mouth rinse

Usually it takes a mouthwash or a mouth rinse to complete your dental home care system. These two very similar oral care products (that can sometimes even be referred to as the same thing) are used to enhance oral health - not to substitute any other products (like toothbrushes, toothpaste or dental floss). They differ in the sense that one is used before you brush and the other one is used after. Their inclusion is to merely enhance your breath's freshness, with attempts to keep it fresh for longer. Of course there are different types of mouthwash/rinse, and like almost everything else its usage can be harmful to your health if precaution is not taken.

Antiseptic and Anti-plaque mouthwashes are more medicinal, in the sense that people who suffer from halitosis or periodontal diseases can benefit a lot from the anti-bacterial, cavities, gingivitis and germ killing solution that these type of mouthwashes have.Alcohol-based mouthwashes, on the other hand, are known to be rough on the teeth and because alcohol slows down the production of saliva, this type of mouthwash can also cause dry mouth. And since saliva is good for removing dirt off the teeth, this mouthwash can rinse your mouth in the morning and allow germs to exploit your teeth during the day.In conclusion, the best bad breath cure is good oral health care . And with fresh breath you're guaranteed to have all the confidence you need to conquer the day. Well at least it's a good start.
